Opposing group aganist Zanu-PF

I wanted to look at things from a different perspective, so I decided to look past all of the "good" stuff about Zanu-PF and look more negative side of things. By doing this I discovered an organization called The Movement for Democratic Change Zimbabwe (MDCZ) basically has claimed that Zimbabwe African National Patriotic- Front (ZANU-PF) intentions aren't sincere.

The Movement for Democratic Change Zimbabwe (MDCZ) was founded in 1999, mainly for the purpose of opposing everything the Zimbabwe African National Union Patriotic-Front (ZANU-PF) stood for. In 2008, for a short period of time the MDCZ was able to seize control of the parliament and defeat the opposition in the election.

In 2009, the “Memorandum of understanding between Zanu PF and MDCZ” was formed in an attempt to patch things up between the two groups and help the Zimbabwean society become a more peaceful. The agreement didn't last long, only three weeks after a violent Zanu PF protest sparked tension between group activists again. In 2013, the ZANU-PF re-gained control of the parliament, winning two-thirds of the election. Due to Zanu PF’s recent rise to power in Zimbabwe, the corrupt police officers often choose to arrest MDCZ activists over any other individuals. Newspapers distributed to the public in Zimbabwe are full of propaganda directly aiming to deter any positive thoughts about the group. Portraying the MDCZ with violence and crime is the main goal of the ZANU PF.

  1. I think it was an awesome idea for you to look at things from a positive point of view and contribute a different take on our blog. Even though our blog deals with the negativity of terrorism across Africa, you took it upon yourself to see things in a lighter situation and I think that was an awesome idea.
