This is an image that shows the different areas where some other terrible things are happening in Africa along with terrorism. Drugs seem to be a large part of the pressing issue of terrorism as well and I think tat this ma helps show just what types of drugs are being handled in Africa and also showing that it is not only in one area. The issues of terrorism and drugs is all over in Africa and it does not help the African people in trying to fix these issues if they cannot stop all of this violence and such in their area.
I feel as though drugs play a huge role in the violence that goes on in Africa. Just like in "A Long Way Gone" the soldiers would take drugs almost everyday to cope with the pain. It also helped them to become more heartless in a way and numb to certain things around them.
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting to see the different drugs used in different parts of Africa. Like Onjaya said the soldiers would use drugs to enhance there performance. I was wondering what part the drugs would come from.
